Vivian Lucille Sharp

Vivian Lucille Sharp, 90 of Pearisburg, VA, went to be with the Lord Monday, September 17, 2012 at Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg. Mrs. Sharp was born on April 4, 1922 in Narrows and was a daughter of the late Elgin Turner and Virgie Mae Wall Turner. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl McGinley Sharp, two brothers, Emory Horace Turner, Thomas Harold Turner and two grandsons, Jeffery Frazier and Brian Whittaker. Mrs. Sharp loved taking care of her family and attending Riverview Baptist Church in Ripplemead. She also loved to sew and make clothes for her family, neighbors and others. She is survived by four daughters, Earlyn Jane Davis of Narrows, Carolyn Faye Frazier and husband Bill of Sequim, WV, Gwendolyn Mae Sharp of Pearisburg, Brenda Joyce Perkins and husband Rick of Morrow, OH, seven grandchildren, Gregory Davis, Vicki Chalkley, Sherrie Birdsall, Michael Frazier, David Whittaker, Rebecca Striet, Alicia Durbin, five great grandchildren and special niece and nephew, Connie Spicer and Emory Horace Turner, Jr. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 2:00pm at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with Pastor Shahn Wilburn officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 pm.
