Thursday, September 9, 1954 – Friday, August 4, 2023

Vicki Ann Martin Adamson, 68, of Colorado Springs, CO and Ripplemead, VA entered into her Heavenly home in the afternoon hours of Friday, August 4, 2023, at UCHealth Memorial Hospital North after a sudden medical episode two days prior at her residence.

Vicki was born on Thursday, September 9, 1954, in Pearisburg, VA. After graduating from Giles High School in 1972 Vicki entered the workforce for Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) where she was employed in the Human Resources/Benefits department. After leaving home for Northern Virginia in 1981, Vicki worked with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and then Hewlett Packard after a company merger until she retired in June of 2022 to be at home with her “boys.”

Vicki was preceded in death and greeted with love, admiration and wagging tails upon her Heavenly arrival by her parents, siblings, and two special animals: Tom J. Martin (Father), Helen S. Martin (Mother), Brenda M. Blankenship (Sister), Douglas J. Martin (Brother) Ace Adamson (German Sheppard) and Chester T. Adamson (English Chocolate Labrador)

Survived to cherish Vicki’s memory and legacy daily are her Children, Jordan T. Adamson of Colorado Springs, CO and Bryan S. Adamson of Blacksburg, VA. Nephew, Christopher D. Blankenship of Virginia Beach, VA. Special family friends Freda S. Wright of Narrows, VA and Vickie L. Akers of Radford, VA in addition to all the other friends & family that Vicki held close to her heart. Vicki is also survived by the best and most amazing Grandson in the entire universe, Bradley L. Adamson of Granite Falls, NC.

Family was Vicki’s passion which as stated above included her pets. She also appreciated the beauty in the garden; it’s bloom in the spring and autumn color from the surrounding trees. Her humor, laughter and positive aura continued to prevail even in dark times.
