Thelma Williams Palmer
Thelma Louise Williams Palmer, 83 of Pearisburg, VA. passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Montgomery Regional Hospital in Blacksburg, VA. Mrs. Palmer was born at Mountain Lake, Va., September 4, 1929 and was a daughter of the late Maude Williams. Besides her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Arlow Palmer, one son Randell Palmer and one sisters, Edna Mae McGuire. Mrs. Palmer was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Bane, VA. She is survived by one son, Mark and Angie Palmer of Bane, two daughters, Linda and Dwight Ingo of Pearisburg, Cathy and Alan Mills of Staffordsville, two sister, Glenna Sartin of Eggleston, Thelma Scott of Columbus, Oh, one brother, Bill Dowdy of Mass., one daughter-in-law, Sandra H. Palmer, two brother-in-laws, Edmon Palmer and Fred Palmer, and a whole flock of grandkids, great grandkids, special niece and nephew, Toni and Cameron Meadows of Staffordsville. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 2:00 at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Bane, VA with the Rev. Amy Bartee officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Monday evening from 6 8pm. Arrangements by Givens Funeral Home, Pearisburg, VA.
