Stella Louise Williams Johnston

In Loving Memory of Stella Louise Williams Johnston JOHNSTON, STELLA LOUISE WILLIAMS, 100 of Pearisburg, VA. passed away Saturday, September 27, 2008 in Raleigh, NC.  Mrs. Johnston was born on January 28, 1908 in Roderfield, WV and was a daughter of the late John B. and Sarah Lucas Williams.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Shuler Johnston, one brother, Marshall E. Williams and four sisters, Kathren W. Ritchie, Evangeline W. Whitehead, Evelyn W. Lowery and Nell W. Kohut.  Mrs. Johnston was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pearisburg.  She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, William M. and Vonda B. Johnston of Hardy, VA, one daughter, Carol J. Goodson of Raleigh, NC, two grandsons, Brian  and Jeff Brady both of Raleigh, two granddaughters, Chandra J. Bratton and husband David of The Woodlands, TX, Anissa J. Calhoun and husband Paul of Roanoke, five great grandchildren, Randy, Emily and Julie Bratton of The Woodlands, TX, Tyler and Hanna Jarvis of Raleigh, NC and one brother John Daniel Williams of Pembroke.  Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at 1pm at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with Dr. Fred L. Austin officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.  The family will receive friends at Givens Funeral Home from 12 – 1pm Tuesday before the service.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at givensfuneralhome.com.
