Rebecca Price Breeden

Born May 24, 1938 in Pearisburg, Virginia, our beloved mother Rebecca Price Breeden, went to be with the Lord at the age of 82, Friday, July 10, 2020. Becky passed away at the Folkston Senior Care Center in Folkston, GA following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. She was preceded in death by her parents Ira Price and Mary Mutter, her husband Frederick Richard Breeden, brother Ira Price Jr, and sister Shirley Price Sarver. Survivors include her daughter Tammy S Breeden, son Michael W Breeden (wife Renee) grandson Calvin W Breeden, plus nieces and nephews. Becky worked as the Cafeteria Manager at King Johnston Middle School in Pearisburg for many years. After retiring, her passion was serving others. She volunteered in the office at the First United Methodist Church in Pearisburg, enjoyed her Sunday School class's activities, and volunteered at Giles Memorial Hospital. She always found a reason to be thankful and served as a constant reminder to always count your blessings. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 14th at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Givens Funeral Home with Services to follow at 11:00 AM.
