Rebecca Hopkins Lester

In Loving Memory of Rebecca Hopkins Lester LESTER, REBECCA HOPKINS, 69 of Narrows, VA., went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 26, 2010 in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  Mrs. Lester was born on November 23, 1940 in Pearisburg and was a daughter of the late John E. Hopkins and Lora Chambers Hopkins.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister Nancy McDaniel.  One of her great pleasures in life was feeding and caring for the wildlife around her home.  She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Debbie Lester and Cheryl Hobbs of Pearisburg, one son, Butch and Sherry Lester of Narrows, one grandson, Kenneth and Jennifer Lester of Atlanta, GA, four sisters, Peggy Irvin of Pembroke, Mary and Jim Brown of Pearisburg, Sandy Evans of Rich Creek, Ruby and Wayne White of Salem, VA , one brother, John Hopkins, III of Narrows and many nieces and nephews.  The family would like to give a special thanks to Barbara and Keith Hobbs of Pearisburg.  Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 28, 2010 at 2:00pm at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with burial following in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Rich Creek, VA.  The family will receive friends at Givens Funeral Home one hour before the service from 1-2 pm.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at givensfuneralhome.com.
