Philip Lee Morris

Philip Lee Morris, of Pearisburg, VA passed away at home in Salem on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the age of 70. Philip was born on November 5, 1946 in Pearisburg, VA and was a son of the late Charles Edward Morris and Mildred Naomi Crabtree Morris. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Elsie Scates Morris, his two daughters Stacy Poore and husband Todd of Salem and Toree Dunleavy of Salem, brother Eddie Morris and wife Carol of Lakeland, FL, sister, Debbie M. Gusler and husband Rodney of Wendall, NC. and numerous nieces and nephews. Phil is also survived by his “little buddy”, grandson Tre Dunleavy. Phil worked as a purchasing manager in the specialty tool business for many years, most recently as a contractor at Kollmorgan in Radford,VA., having retired in 2014. Phil was an avid sports fan and was well known for his sense of humor and practical jokes. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 16, 2017 at 2:00pm at the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg with the Rev. Eddie Kendall officiating.
