Patricia "Pat" Sue Wooten Fisher

Patricia “Pat” Sue Wooten Fisher, 79 of Ripplemead, VA went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. Pat was born on November 13, 1941 in Spanishburg, WV and was the daughter of the late Richard Kelley Wooten and Sadie Pearl Lusk Wooten. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Robert “Bob” Dewayne Fisher, and her son in law Robert Allen “Bobby” Taylor. (Biographical info) She was a member of the Riverview Baptist Church in Ripplemead. She graduated from Spanishburg High School, class of 1959. She attended Concord College. She spent the years raising her daughters, working at VPI&SU in Family and Child Development and then Human Nutrition and Food. Pat and the love of her life Bob lived 18 years in Atlantic Beach, NC. She was an avid puzzler and loved reading. Her family was her joy and she will be missed. She is survived by two daughters, Deidra “DD” Fisher-Taylor of Jonesville, Pam Fisher of Ripplemead, two granddaughters, Blake Fisher Taylor, Brandy Nichole Holcomb, two great granddaughters, Sierra Bailey, Savana Bailey, one great great grandson, Zack McCall, one brother, Richard Wooten (Chris) of Jacksonville, FL, one sister, Freda Thornton of Princeton, WV, sister-in-law, Brenda Day (Kevin) of Ripplemead and brother-in-law, Terry Fisher of Ripplemead.
