Nancy Ann Morris Peters

Nancy Ann Morris Peters passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 in Pearisburg, VA. Mrs Peters was born March 24, 1932 in Pearisburg and was a daughter of the late Jesse Levi (J.L.) Morris, Sr. and Lucy Strother Morris. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. George R Peters, Sr, one brother, Howard C. Morris. She graduated from James Madison University, taught in Louisiana and retired from teaching in the Giles County. She was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Pearisburg and was a member of the Pearisburg Women’s Club. She is survived by one daughter, Susan P. & husband Shawn Croy of Eggleston, VA, two sons, George R. & Anita Peters, Jr. of Peterstown, WV, Stephen Peters of Narrows, four grandchildren, Ben Peters and wife Meredith of Winchester, Mitchell Peters of Pearisburg, Karlie Peters of Wytheville and Logan Croy of Eggleston, one sister, Mary Pendleton Morris Hood of Richmond, three brothers, Robert Morris of Jacksonville, Fl, Rodney Morris of White Gate, and Jesse L. (Niff) Morris, Jr. of Pearisburg. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Christ Episcopal Church in Pearisburg with the Rev. Morris officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Pearisburg Public Library or the Christ Episcopal Church in Pearisburg. Condolences can be sent to the family at givensfuneralhome.com.
