Mildred Thompson (nee Burks) age 87 of Staffordsville, Virginia, passed away February 22nd, 2021. Beloved wife of Thomas "Milt" Thompson (dec) for 47 years. Loving mother of Linda Locastro (Jim) of Cleveland, Ohio with whom she had lived for the past two years. Grandmother of Kristen Locastro of Cleveland and Gina Locastro (Tanya Gustafson) of Cleveland. Daughter of the late George Kyle Burks and the late Ethel Burks (nee Milam). Sister of Patricia Davis [Neil) and James Burks (Gail) both of Princeton, W. Va., the late Charlie, George Morgan (Junior), Jesse Cecil (J.C.) and Elva Burks Bedwell. Dear sister-in-law of Paul Thompson (Dolores, dec). Loving Aunt to 29 nieces and nephews with countless cherished friends in Ohio, West Virginia and especially Virginia. The family will receive friends at Givens Funeral Home, 110 South Woodrum St., Pearisburg, Va. Friday May 21st from 3 pm until 5 pm where light refreshments will be served. Funeral Services will be Saturday May 22nd at 10:30 am at Eatons Chapel Methodist Church, Eatons Chapel Road, Staffordsville, VA with Charles Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton, immediately following the service. We will be observing COVID-19 precautions, please wear a mask and observe social distancing.
