Mary Legg Heslep
Mary Elizabeth Legg Heslep, 85 of Princeton, WV, formerly of Rich Creek, VA, went to be with the Lord on December 26, 2011 at Princeton Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Heslep was born on July 4, 1926 in Pax, WV, and was a daughter of the late Zenas H. Legg and Ramona Belle McVey Legg. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James Oran Heslep and one sister, Mildred Herndon. Mrs. Heslep was a secretary at the Giles County Vocational School in Pearisburg, VA, was a member of the Rich Creek Baptist Church, a member of the Ladies Bible Class, a member of the Christiansburg Presbyterian Church, a member of the Eastern Star in Peterstown, WV and taught the Adult Ladies Sunday School for several years. Church life was an important part of her life, she loved her Lord. She also enjoyed oil painting, reading and crafting. Mrs. Heslep is survived by two sons, Michael Jay Heslep and wife Ruth of Woodsfield, OH, Thomas James Heslep and wife Sharon of Princeton, WV, three grandsons and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with the Rev Bruce Woodson officiating with entombment following in the Birchlawn Abbey.
