Margie Lee Earnest Sommers Bean

Margie Lee Earnest Sommers Bean, 90, a resident of Heritage Hall Rich Creek, VA, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg.  Margie was born on December 14, 1932, in Dry Fork, VA and was a daughter of the late Gaylord Thomas Earnest, Sr. and Cora Lynch Earnest.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Matthew Bean, 8 sisters, Bertha Moody, Ada Ratliff, Virginia Earnest, Clara Earnest, Hazel Eaton, Dorothy Holsenback, Eva Litchfield, Shirley Smith, 1 brother, G.T. Earnest, Jr.

She is survived by 1 sister, Edith Wudarski of Heritage Hall in Rich Creek, several nieces and 2 nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted, Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 12pm at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with the Rev Terri Gregory officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 hour before the service from 11 – 12pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ingram Village UMC, c/o Janet Gregory, 150 Morning View Drive, Pearisburg, VA 24134.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at givensfuneralhome.com.
