Lori Faust Hughes, 48 died on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Duke Medical Center, Durham, NC. She was born January 16, 1970 in Rock Hill, SC to Winston and Kathy Faust. Lori was a 1988 graduate of Giles High School, Pearisburg, VA, a graduate of Carson-Newman College, Jefferson City, TN, and attended the University of Louisville, KY, where she received her respiratory therapist certification. Besides her parents, Lori is survived by her husband Darrin and son Justin of Pearisburg, a brother, Jason (Rachael) Faust of Wesley Chapel, FL, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle, cousins and special friends Rick and Jill Thompson of Campina Grande, Brazil. Lori attended the Pearisburg Presbyterian Church where she was church Treasurer. As per her wishes, her body was donated to Duke Medical for research and was cremated. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 2pm at the Pearisburg Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 - 2pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 7202 Glen Forest Dr., Suite 102, Richmond, VA. 23219 or the Pearisburg Presbyterian Church.
