Lillian Irene Neice Snider

Lillian Irene Neice Snider, 81 of Pearisburg, VA. went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg. Mrs. Snider was born on December 18, 1931 in Bluff City, VA and was a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Nellie Jane Riggs Neice. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 21 years, Raymond (Pete) Snider, three brothers, Howard, Keith and John Neice and two sisters, Eva Neice and Jane N. Moye. Mrs. Snider was a member of the Assembly of God in Pearisburg and was an avid reader. She is survived by one son, Raymond L. Snider of Pearisburg, one sister Juanita Neice Sexton of Pearisburg, two nieces that she helped raise, Rebecca Snider of Pearisburg and Ann Hodge of Blacksburg, Rebecca’s son, Zeke Snider of Pearisburg, her daughter, Reshelle Carbaugh of Narrows, Reshelle’s daughter, Sophie Carbaugh of Narrows, Ann’s son, Chris Hodge of Blacksburg, special niece, Julie Thorne of Pearisburg and many other nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted, Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg at 11:00am with Rev Eddie Kendall officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends Friday evening at the Givens Funeral Home from 5 – 7 pm.
