Lenora Link Carr

Lenora Link Carr, 96 of Pearisburg, VA went to be with the Lord on Thursday January 29, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Carr was born on September 26, 1918 and was a daughter of the late James Harvey Link and Maggie Lena Caldwell Link. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Allen Carr, two brothers, Roylence Link, Garthan Link and two sisters, Mildred Link and Dorothy L. Brown. Mrs. Carr was a member of Riverview Baptist Church in Ripplemead, Va. She is survived by two nieces, Brenda B. Simpson, Sally Ann Poff and four nephews, James Harvey Brown, Raymond, Roylence and George Link and three great nephews, Michael, Jamie and Alan Brown and two great great nephews, Ethan and Jack Brown. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 2, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Givens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Shahn Wilburn officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will received friends Monday one hour before the service from 10 – 11am.
