Larry Wayne Marion

Larry Wayne Marion, 63, of Pearisburg, passed away in Roanoke Memorial Hospital on Friday, October 14th. He was born in Charlottesville, VA and was the son of the late George W. Marion, Sr. and Pauline Marion DeBord. Besides his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, George W. Marion, Jr., sister-in-law, Linda Marion and sister-in-law Betty Marion. He is survived by his wife, Joyce A. Marion, daughter Lori Marion Shannon and husband Eric, grandchildren Parker and Audya, brother Lewis Marion, brother Tommy Cole and Barb Dean, sister and brother-in-law, Mary Glenn and Jack McCall and many special nieces and nephews. Givens Funeral Home will be handling all arrangements. Family will receive friends beginning at 4:00, Monday, October 17th at the Pearisburg First United Methodist Church. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 18th at 4:00 in the Giles High School Auditorium. A graveside service will follow at The Memorial Gardens of New River Valley in Blacksburg, VA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pearisburg First United Methodist Church. Family will be gathering at the home of Lori Shannon. The family would like to extend their extreme gratitude for all of the prayers, calls and visits, but especially the willingness of so many in the community that were there in our time of need.
