Johnny Lee Puckett

Johnny Lee Puckett, 62 of Christiansburg, VA. went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Lewis Gale Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg, Va. Johnny was born on February 14, 1956 in Bluefield, VA and was a son of the late John Puckett and Anna Pearl Jones Puckett Morris. Johnny attended Graham High School in Bluefield, VA, then joined the United States Marines. Johnny was also a graduate of New River Valley Community College. He was a life member of the Christiansburg Volunteer Rescue Squad, was employed at ATK at Radford Arsenal. He loved camping, reading, his family and especially watching his beloved daughter Lexi in her many years of her dance performances. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Dena Michelle Lucas Puckett of Christiansburg, one daughter, Alexis Sierra Puckett of Christiansburg and several brothers and sisters throughout northern Virginia and North Carolina. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg at 7pm with the Rev. Keith Graves officiating. The family will receive friends at Givens Funeral Chapel one hour before the service. The family would like to thank Jim Eads, Frankie Kellison, Tim Webb, L. T. Simmons and all of the many co-workers at VTTI (VA Tech Smart Road) and the staff of Blue Ridge Cancer Center for all their help and support.
