John Ralph Jones

In Loving Memory of

John Ralph Jones, 87 of Pearisburg, VA, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Highland Ridge Nursing Home and Rehab in Dublin, VA. Mr. Jones was born on May 16, 1923 in Eggleston, VA, and was a son of the late Hiram M. Jones and Ida Mann Jones. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Janice Sands Jones, one son, Renny L. Jones, two brothers, Jimmy and Paul and three sisters, Alva, Frances and Teny. Mr. Jones was a WWII Army Veteran and a retired employee of the Celanese Corp. in Narrows. He is survived by his wife, Mary Miller Jones of Pearisburg, one son, Tommy Jones and his wife Barbara of New Jersey, one daughter, Sally J. Shrader and her husband Kevin Shrader of Newport, one granddaughter, Kelsey S. Jones, one step-son, Raymond P. (Butch) Miller and his wife Sandra of Pulaski, one step-daughter, Rhonda M. Brumfield and her husband Josh of Nashville, TN, six step-grandchildren and seven step-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 28, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Birchlawn Abbey in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Birchlawn Abbey one hour before the service from 12:00 – 1:00 pm. The family would like to thank the Staff of Highland Ridge Health and Rehab and Hospice for their caring services.
