James N. Peck

In Loving Memory of James N. Peck PECK, JAMES N., 67 of Pearisburg left this world on April 1, 2010 to be an angel in Heaven as he was to us here on Earth.  He was preceded in death by his father, James M. Peck and mother Kathleen M. Peck. He was a retired supervisor at Alliant Tech Systems, formerly Radford Arsenal. Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Betty Collins Peck.  Their love for each other brought into this world two children, Mike Peck of Pearisburg and Donna P. Davison of Moneta.  Dad’s love made us strong and his gentle kindness showed us how to love.  He provided us a foundation for our own families and with dad’s unending sense of family he accepted son-in-law Kenny Davison and daughter-in-law Judy Peck into our family not as in-laws, but as his son and daughter.  A proud pawpaw to Taylor Peck, Katie Davison, Allie Davison, Mandy Murphy and Hunter Gautier, watching them grow and play would light up his face as pride spilled out for the world to see.  Separated by miles, but connected by love he is survived by his brother John Peck, wife Juanita Peck and nephews Gary and Eddie Peck of Fredericksburg.  He will be sadly missed by his extended family of brothers and sisters.  Bound not by blood, but by years of sharing love and laughter, Bonnie Osborne of Fairmont, Wayne and Janice Collins of Shawsville, Doug and Mary Collins of Narrows, Donnie and Doretta Collins of Pembroke and Willis and Diane Riggs of Pearisburg.  We will hold forever in our hearts his smile and the deepness of his gentle blue eyes.  Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 5, 2010 at 2:00pm at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with Rev.
