James D. Taylor

James D. (Jimmy) Taylor, 67, of Goldbond, VA, went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2020. Jimmy was born on March 11, 1952 in Tazewell, VA and was a son of the late John Dwight Taylor and Doris Glover Taylor. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Sonya T. Morris. Jimmy was a 1970 graduate of Giles High School and attended Virginia Commonwealth University and Virginia Tech. Jimmy was a loving father and family man. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved hunting and fishing with many of his friends. He was a talented artist, who loved painting many local landscapes. He is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Anna Taylor of Pembroke, two sons, Jared G. Taylor (Crystal) of Pearisburg, Caleb O. Taylor of Pembroke, one sister, Patti T. White of Dublin, one brother, Dow N. (Pam) Taylor of Troutville and several nieces and nephews. As per Jimmy's wishes there will be no services.
