Jack Lloyd Bailey

Jack Lloyd Bailey, 74 of Blacksburg, VA went to be with the Lord, July 23, 2013 at his home. Mr. Bailey was born on April 29, 1939 in Hinton, WV and was a son of the late Frank and Pearl Grimmett Bailey. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Thomas Bailey, two sisters and four brothers. Mr. Bailey was a retired machinist at Electro Tech in Blacksburg, recently worked for Montgomery County at the Prices Fork Collection Site and was a member of the Blacksburg First Wesleyan Church. He is survived by one daughter, Deborah B. Eaton and husband J.D. of Pearisburg, three sons, Donald L. Bradberry and wife Evelyn of Roanoke, Ronald K. Bradberry and wife Karen of Covington, Davis Timothy Bradberry and wife Linda of Clermont, FL, three brothers-in-law, Lee Blankenship of Bluewell, WV, Sterling Thomas of Alderson, WV, Billy Thomas of Talcott, WV, six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, honorary granddaughter, Stevee Shelor, better known to Jack as Elmer and his beloved pets. Funeral services will be held Thursday evening July 25, 2013 at 7pm the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with the Rev. John Hopkins officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 – 7 pm before the service at Givens Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held Friday at 1pm at the Upland Cemetery in Hinton, WV.
