Helmut Keiner

Helmut Keiner, 82 of Pearisburg, VA, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mr. Keiner was born on December 29, 1933 in Dorsten, Germany and was a son of the late Josef and Helene Saul Keiner. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother-in-law Linus Eck. He was educated in Germany to be an Industrial Master electrician working in Germany, France, Africa, United States and other parts of the world. He came to the United States when he was 24 years old and shortly thereafter, he went in the United States Army for two tours. He also worked for the Giles County School Board System and enjoyed retirement as a farmer. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Donna Eck Keiner of Pearisburg, many nieces and nephews and a special niece Donna Sabo of Fairfax, VA., and sisters and brothers-in-law, Lea & Bill Ottley of NC, Dae & Paul Bugl of CT, Ruth Ann & Dan Stroka of Lancaster, NY, Marilee & Bob Fuehrer of CO, Gregory & Joanne Eck of PA.
