Hazel Caudill Meadows Neice

Hazel Caudill Meadows Neice, 89 of Pearisburg, VA went to be with the Lord, Monday, December 31, 2012 at her home after a long illness. Mrs. Neice was born on March 13, 1923 in Lurich, VA and was a daughter of the late James Edward Meadows and Ida Brook Bowles Meadows. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Neice, five sons, Ronald W., Donald E., Jerry E., Roger D., Darrell W. Neice, four brothers,Charlie Eugene, James, Junior, Lewis Meadows and six sisters, Vivian Dalton, Garnett Goad, Lena Neice, Lucille McCroskey, Trula Faye Ball and Helen Hall. A longtime resident of Pearisburg, she was a Christian woman who loved being a parent, grandparent, great grandparent and a great great grandparent. She is survived by five sons, Ferrell Douglas Neice of Burnt Chimney, James Randall Neice of Pearisburg, Danny Ray Neice of Pearisburg, David Lynn Neice of Princeton, WV, Anthony Eugene Neice of Pearisburg, three daughters, Brenda N. Bowles of Pearisburg, Lisa N. Mills of Peterstown, WV, Michelle N. Lucas of Pearisburg, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Givens Funeral Chapel at 2:00pm with the Rev. Roger Lafferty officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 pm.
