George Henry (Stacy) Bennett, Jr., 43 of Riner, VA, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Christiansburg, VA. Stacy was born in Radford, VA on September 30, 1973 and was a son of the late George Henry Bennett, Sr. and Ruby Carol Simpkins Bennett. Stacy loved his family, friends and his animals. He is survived by his wife Cindy Bucy Bennett of Riner, one brother, Dwayne N. Bennett of Rich Creek, two sisters, Tracy B. Alley and her husband Tony of Fort Chiswell, Misty B. Kornegay of Pearisburg, one sister-in-law, Dawn Bucy of Riner, father and mother-in-law, Gary and Linda Bucy of Riner, one neice, Emily Kornegay, and three nephews, Austin Alley, Caleb Blankenship and Jamie Johnston. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 1:00pm at the Givens Funeral Chapel with Tamara Simpkins officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home in Pearisburg, Wednesday evening from 6 - 8 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society.
