Frank Andrew Minnick

Frank Andrew Minnick, 95 of Pearisburg, Va went to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg. Mr. Minnick was born on May 11, 1917 in Mechanicsburg, VA, and was a son of the late James Monroe Minnick and Nancy Catherine Minnick. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years Sara Earnestine Wilburn Minnick and eight brothers and sisters. Mr. Minnick was a retired shop foreman at the Giles County School Bus Garage. He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors and always had a garden. He is survived by two sons, Frank Arnold Minnick and wife Barbara Minnick of Etna, ME, Leroy Easley Minnick and wife Noella of Pearisburg, two daughters, Brenda Jean M. Parcell and husband Gerald of Pearisburg, Linda M. Altizer and husband Rodney of Christiansburg, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday December 21, 2012 at 1pm at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with the Rev. Ted P. Anders officiating with burial following in the Wilburn Cemetery, Pearisburg. The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service from 12 to 1 pm. Givens Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
