Eli Randolph Dixon

Eli Randolph Dixon, 85 of Pearisburg, VA, (Sugar Run Rd), went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at his home. Mr. Dixon was born on July 22, 1929 in Pearisburg and was a son of the late Harry E. Dixon and Allene Pettit Dixon. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rowena Sue Woods Dixon, one brother, Harry L. Dixon and one sister, Mamie Keesler. Mr. Dixon was a retired employee of the Virginia Department of Highways with 20 years service, he was a member of the Thessalia United Methodist Church and he was a devoted family man, farmer and outdoorsman. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Becky Sue and Phil Clark of Pearisburg, and one granddaughter, Whitney Lynn Cecil of Pearisburg and many loving neighbors, friends and caregivers. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 30, 2015 at 2pm at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with the Rev. Amy Bartee and Charles R.
