Edward Johnston (Pete) Eaton, 85 of Pearisburg, VA went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 21, 2015 at Lewis Gale Montgomery Co. Hospital in Blacksburg, VA. Mr. Eaton was born on June 21, 1930 in Pearisburg, VA, and was a son of the late John Sheppard Eaton and Mae Johnston Eaton. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Dick, John Eaton and two sisters, Fauna Mae Fuller and Virginia Lou Hunt. Mr. Eaton was a Retired Army Veteran and a retired employee of the Celanese plant in Narrows, VA. He is survived by his wife, Berta Kratz Eaton of Pearisburg, one son John Mitchell and Emma Eaton of Bland, five daughters, Rebecca Barbara and James Wheeler of Radford, Mary Lou Perdue of Pearisburg, Patricia Arlene and David Simmons of Bland, Alice Gale and Stanley Chrupcala of Pearisburg, Lois Ann Eaton and Rusty Meadows of Bland, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, 5 brothers, Jimmy and Bonnie Eaton of Pearisburg, Don Eaton of Pearisburg, Burkey and Marie Eaton of MD, Tom and Betty Eaton of NC., Doug and Joann Eaton of Pearisburg, 3 sisters, Anne Fletcher of Pearisburg, Mary Martin of NC and Liz Powell of NC Graveside funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 26, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg with the Pastor Kevin Richardson.
