Danny Lee Dickerson

In Loving Memory of Danny Lee Dickerson DICKERSON, DANNY LEE, 57 of Pearisburg , VA went to be with the Lord Friday morning, April 11, 2008 at his home.  Danny was born on August 21, 1950 in Pearisburg , VA and was a son of the late Millard J. & Violet Anderson Dickerson.  Danny was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pearisburg, a retired employee of the Volvo Truck Plant in Dublin , a former member of the Pearisburg Jaycees, a former member of the Castle Rock Golf Course in Pembroke, and was an enthusiastic supporter of the Virginia Tech Hokies.  He loved his family and friends and never met a stranger.  He especially enjoyed the love of his nephew and two nieces.  He is survived by two sisters, Mary Carol and husband Sam Gray of Pearisburg, Jeanette Dickerson of Pearisburg, one brother, Stevie and and wife Tina Dickerson of Blacksburg, one nephew Michael L. Dickerson and two nieces, Ashley and Sierra Dickerson.  Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 2:00pm at the First Baptist Church in Pearisburg with the Rev. Michael Bratton and the Rev. T.M. Stevens officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.  The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church Tuesday evening from 5 – 8 pm.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at givensfuneralhome.com.
