Christine Kay Boyd Tickle

Christine Kay Boyd Tickle, 74 of Ripplemead, VA, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 4, 2024, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Chris was born on January 28, 1950, in Oak Hill, WV and was a daughter of the late Carl Gilbert Boyd and Bertie Todd Boyd.

Chris was a long-time employee at the Friends and Family Restaurant in Pearisburg. When not at work, she enjoyed spending time at home with her cats and dog.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn A. Backus, 3 sons, Norman Lee Backus, Jr., Brian Wayne Backus (Sheila), Ward Nelson Fortner, Jr., 2 grandchildren, Shyenne Backus, Alexander K. Backus, great grandchild, Kylie Backus, 2 brothers Thomas Boyd, Richard Boyd and 1 sister, Ernestine Boyd Radford

A Celebration of Life and a visitation with the family will be held Friday, November 8, 2024, at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg at 11:00am.
