Cheryl Annette Clark

Cheryl Annette Clark, 63 of Pearisburg, VA passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at her home. Cheryl was born on October 1, 1958, in Knoxville, TN and was the daughter of Doris Anne Doane Clark and the late James T. Clark, Sr. After her childhood in Tennessee, Cheryl moved to Virginia where she stayed for the rest of her life. She was an accomplished flautist, and she spent several happy years playing with the Blacksburg Community Band and in the pit orchestra for many musical productions by the local community theater. A private and fiercely independent person, she found peace living in the mountains, surrounded by the wilderness and her beloved dogs and cats. She was devoted to her daughter and her animals, and had a sharp, inquisitive mind. Besides her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Laine Clark-Balzan (Forrest Brennen) of Oxford, England, one brother, James T. Clark, Jr. (Diane) of Atlanta, four sisters, Cathy Maher (Jim) of Atlanta, GA, Kelly Newbould of Ooltewah, TN, Angela Blevins of Chattanooga, TN, Carla Vaughn (Kenny) of Ooltewah, TN, many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and great nephews.
