Betty Jo Johnston Helton, Life on Earth, March 17, 1929 - April 24, 2019. Born at St. Elizabeth hospital in Pearisburg, VA to Shuler Kirk and Gladys Myrtle Eaton Johnston and is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Sylvester Reece Helton and 1 sister, Mary Ellen Johnston Warner. Survived by one daughter, Karen Ruth Helton Wilson, 1 sister, Margaret Eaton Johnston and 1 brother, Howard Kirk Johnston and many, many other friends and family. Memorial services will be held, Sunday, May 12, at 1:00pm at Eaton’s Chapel Methodist Church, with Charles Henderson and Rev. Donald Swift officiating with burial following in the Eaton’s Chapel Cemetery in Staffordsville. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home Saturday, May 11, evening from 5 – 7 pm for refreshments and remembrance.
