Bertha Etta Earnest Moody

In Loving Memory of Bertha Etta Earnest Moody MOODY, BERTHA ETTA EARNEST, 88 of Pearisburg, VA passed away Wednesday evening March 2, 2005 at Riverview Nursing Home in Rich Creek, VA. Mrs. Moody was born on April 2, 1916 in McDowell County, WV and was a daughter of the late Gaylord T. Earnest, Sr. and Cora Lee Lynch Earnest. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Gaylord Earnest, Jr., one sister, Shirley E. Smith and her husband, John Moody. Mrs Moody was a member of the Pearisburg Church of Christ. She is survived by 8 sisters, Ada Ratliff, Virginia Earnest, Clara Earnest, Edith Wudarski, Hazel Eaton, Dorothy Holsenback, Eva Litchfield all of Pearisburg and Margie Bean and husband Joseph of Brooksville, Fl and many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 7, 2005 at the Birchlawn Abbey in Pearisburg at 2:00 with Panco Cantley officiating with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg, VA. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 – 8 at the Givens Funeral Home in Pearisburg. Memorial donations may be made to the Pearisburg Church of Christ.
