In Loving Memory of Audrey Duane Harrell Audrey Duane Harrell, 70, of Pearisburg, Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 19, 2010, at his home. Mr. Harrell was born on January 8, 1940, in Staffordsville, Va., and was a son of the late Lacy Boyd Harrell and Anna Stanley Harrell. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David N. Harrell. Mr. Harrell was a 1958 graduate of Pearisburg High School, a United States Air Force Veteran serving from 1958 to 1962 with the Military Police. He was an employee of the Celanese Corporation in Narrows before he retired and was also in the Fire Brigade at Celanese. He was a member of Riverview Baptist Church in Ripplemead and a member of the VFW Post #6000 in Narrows, Va. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Anna Fisher Harrell, of Pearisburg; two daughters, Rhonda H. Vest, of Pearisburg, and Andrea (Andy) H. Ellison and husband, Jack, of Pearisburg; one son, Tony Harrell and wife, Crystal, of Christiansburg; one brother, Willard Keith Harrell, of Dublin; and four grandchildren, Devan Christopher Vest, Grace Katherine Ellison, Noah Anthony Harrell and Adeline Christian Ellison. Audrey was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His greatest treasure was his beloved grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Riverview Baptist Church in Ripplemead with the Rev. Shahn Wilburn officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, July 21, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Givens Funeral Home in Pearisburg. Online condolences can be sent to the family at givensfuneralhome.com.
