Asa Goldston (A.G.) Hendrickson, Jr., 85 of Pearisburg, VA, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 08, 2014. Mr Hendrickson was born on June 1, 1928 in Pembroke, Va and was a son of the late Asa Goldston Hendrickson, Sr. and Helen Ellen Meredith. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 sisters. A.G. loved to work with his hands, fish, travel and and spend time with his family. He also was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Saralyn (Sally) Milliken Hendrickson of Pearisburg, one son, James Larry Hendrickson, Sr. and wife Dianna of Stow, OH, 3 daughters, Susan Hendrickson Cruise of Lynchburg, Amy Hendrickson Smith and husband Robert of Pembroke, Asa Lee-Hendrickson Majors and husband Brian of Maryville, TN, one brother, George L. Hendrickson and wife Lois of Franklin, NC, one sister, Judy Hendrickson Kirby of Flint, MI and four grandchildren, James L. Hendrickson, II, J. Dakota Criuse, J. Tanner Cruise and Michael Alan Smith. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 2:00pm at the First United Methodist Church in Pearisburg with the Rev. Dr. Brian Burch officiating. A private interment will be held before the service. The family will receive friends after the memorial service.
