Annie Lillian Butler Havens

Annie Lillian Butler Havens, 90 of Pearisburg, VA, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Riverview Nursing Home in Rich Creek, VA. Mrs. Havens was born on December 16, 1922 in Giles County and was a daughter of the late William Powell Butler and Carrie Kelley Butler. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters Hazel Stafford, Ruth Richardson and three brothers, Harold C., William P. and Francis Butler. Mrs. Havens was a member of the Pearisburg Baptist Church, had baby sat over fifty local kids and loved working in her flower garden. She is survived by her husband of over 69 years, William Andrew Havens, one brother, James F. Butler and wife Mary of Pearisburg, one sister, Monty Sowder of Salem and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg at 11:00 am with the Rev. Gary Poff officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home Thursday evening from 5 – 7 pm. Memorial donations may be made Baptist Children’s Home in Salem, VA.
