Rev. Albert (Al) Thurman Elswick

Rev. Albert (Al) Thurman Elswick, 71 of Ripplemead, VA went to his holy maker on Monday, August 31, 2015 at his home. Rev. Elswick was born on September 6, 1943 in Bridgeport, CT., and was a son of the late Thurman Chester Elswick and Helen Irene Yurchak Elswick. Rev. Elswick graduated Bassick High School in Bridgeport, CT, Southern Connecticut State College in New Haven and then New Brunswick Theological Seminary in New Jersey with a Master of Theology. Rev. Elswick was a minister of the Gospels in several churches in New York, Massachusetts and Virginia including the Pembroke Christian Church in Pembroke, VA. A funeral service will be held, Friday, September 4, 2015 at the Pembroke Christian Church in Pembroke at 11:00am with the Pastor Reggie Britts officiating. A final service will be held Wednesday at 10am at the Lesco- Polke Funeral Home in Fairfield, CT with burial following in the Mountain Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport, CT.
