Ada Lee McBrayer

Ada Lee McBrayer, 72, of Narrows, VA, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 17, 2024.  Ada was born on August 19, 1951, in Welch, WV, and was a daughter of the late Frank McBrayer and Virgie Smith McBrayer.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Raymond McBrayer, Roy McBrayer, Frank McBrayer, Bill McBrayer and 4 sisters, Peggy Wooten, Juanita McBrayer, Mary Hale, Geneva Lawson.  

Ada grew up in Welch, WV, and moved to the Giles County area in 1993.  She retired in 2022.  She was an avid reader, loved to travel with her companion and loved the company of her family and grandchildren. 

 She is survived by her companion, Robert Slavy of Narrows, 2 sons, Ronald Wayne Smith, Jr. (Angel Dawn) of Huntersville, NC, Frank Kelly Smith of Narrows and 3 grandchildren, Levi Kelly Smith, Alexander Paul Smith and Sean Kelly Smith.
