Ada Lee Earnest Ratliff

Ada Lee Earnest Ratliff, 96 of Pearisburg, VA went to be with the Lord on Friday evening July 18, 2014 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Rich Creek, VA. Mrs. Ratliff was born on September 18, 1917 in Itmann, WV and was a daughter of the late Gaylord Thomas Earnest and Cora Lynch Earnest. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul T. Ratliff, six sisters, Bertha Moody, Clara Earnest, Virginia Earnest, Dorothy Holsenback, Eva Litchfield, Shirley Smith and one brother, Gaylord T. Earnest, Jr. Mrs. Ratliff spent many years in Grundy, VA, where she was an active member of the Poplar Creek Church of Christ, and was a member of the Church of Christ in Pearisburg. She also loved to quilt and made many for her family and friends. She is survived by, three sisters, Edith Wudarski, Hazel Eaton and Margie and Joe Bean all of Pearisburg and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 21, 2014 at the Givens Funeral Chapel at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Ted Anders officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home one hour before the service from 1 – 2 pm. The family will also receive friends at the home at 150 Morning View Dr. in Pearisburg.
